The average U.S. hotel cost per night in the second quarter among Travel Leaders Corporate clients rose slightly from the same period last year,
to $134.09, according to the travel management company. The average nightly cost at hotels outside the United States grew 3 percent to $215.81. "The good news is the slightly higher rates are not keeping business travelers away," according to Travel Leaders Corporate president David Holyoke. "Our domestic hotel bookings are up approximately 6.5 percent. Internationally, bookings are up even more, over 9 percent." Travel Leaders indicated that its second-quarter data is based on more than "500,000 actual domestic hotel room nights booked and over 32,000 actual international hotel room nights booked."
