Reserved occupancy at North American hotels for the second quarter of 2015 is up 1.8 percent from the same period last year,
according to the May TravelClick North American Hospitality Review. Reserved group business occupancy is up 1.6 percent, and the average daily rate for those bookings is up 3.7 percent. Transient business reserved occupancy is up 0.9 percent, and ADR for those bookings is up 5.9 percent. TravelClick reported group, business and transient demand will be strong for the summer travel season and that overall committed occupancy is up 2.8 percent for the year. The May NAHR examined group sales commitments and individual reservations in 25 major North American markets for hotel stays booked by May 3, 2015, for the period between May 2015 and April 2016.
