PricewaterhouseCoopers projects the average daily U.S. hotel rate in 2015 to increase 5.7 percent year over year in 2015,
following a 4.4 percent increase this year, according to a forecast issued Monday. PwC projects ADR at U.S. luxury, upper upscale and upper midscale hotels next year will increase 6 percent or more year over year. While hotel supply growth should accelerate in 2015, "industry-wide occupancy levels are expected to reach 64.8 percent, the highest since 1995, giving hotel operators more confidence to push for higher room rates," according to PwC.
