Concur Technologies today announced that InterContinental Hotels Group has joined the list of travel suppliers in Concur Connect, meaning Concur clients can have electronic folio data transmitted directly from IHG properties into their expense reports.
With IHG participating in Concur Connect, Concur users now can book IHG hotels through Concur's booking tool, participate in IHG's loyalty program through Concur and have electronic folio data from their stay prepopulate their expense reports. The folio data is captured along with booking and card data and reconciled, reducing the need for company audits in most cases, according to Concur.
"More and more Concur clients are demanding frictionless business travel transactions, and Concur Connect is the engine that enables leading travel suppliers to deliver a richer and more meaningful experience to their corporate clients and business traveler guests," Concur president and COO Rajeev Singh said in a statement."
IHG, which includes the brands InterContinental, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn, Staybridge Suites, Candlewood Suites and Hotel Indigo, already had made e-folio data available through an agreement with MasterCard Worldwide
(BTNonline, Nov. 7, 2006). For Concur users, however, the data is submitted independent of corporate card transaction, so it is available regardless of payment tool, according to Concur.
IHG is the fourth major hotel company to participate with Concur Connect. Marriott International, Hilton Hotels Corp. and Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide already participate in the program, as do many major airlines, car rental companies and several other categories of travel suppliers.
