Carlson and its longtime European development partner Rezidor Hotel Group are combining commercial activities into a single entity

but will maintain separate ownership structures. Rezidor president and CEO Kurt Ritter said the goal is "to be perceived by business partners around the world as one global hotel company." The Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group jointly will pursue "competitive sourcing agreements, especially for high-spend and business-critical categories," and manage brand development.
