Siva Ramachandran
Canadian global wholesale travel consolidator Voyzant has named former airline executive Siva Ramachandran as SVP of its business in Europe, the Middle East and Africa as the company seeks expansion in the region.
Voyzant, which includes travel management company Voyzant Corporate Travel among its businesses, recently opened a new office in London, and Ramachandran now leads the company's expansion strategy from that office. He has worked with several airlines over his four decades in the industry, including Singapore Airlines, Qatar Airways, Jet Airways, former Indian carrier Kingfisher Airlines, Nigerian carrier Arik Air and Sri Lankan Airlines, where he was chief commercial officer.
Voyzant said the EMEA region will be a "primary engine" for its global operations starting next year.
"These are complex, high-growth regions where success depends on deep local relationships and a genuine understanding of the travel ecosystem," Voyzant CEO Chippy Jegathesan said in a statement. "Rama's exceptional track record of leading successful expansions for major carriers, combined with his vast network and respected reputation, makes him the ideal leader to guide our next phase of growth."
