London-based Virgin Atlantic will launch new direct service between Heathrow Airport and Texas' Austin-Bergstrom International Airport beginning May 25, 2022, the airline announced Monday. It is the carrier's first new route to the United States since 2015.
Virgin will service the route with a Boeing 787-9 aircraft configured with 31 Upper Class, 35 Premium, and 192 Economy Delight, Classic and Light seats. Flights will operate four times a week—Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays—departing London at 11:35 a.m. and arriving in Austin at 6:05 p.m., according to the company.
