Both Air France-KLM and British Airways are ending services to Iran next month, two years after reintroducing them following the 2015 nuclear deal framework with world powers. KLM will cease service to Tehran on Sept. 24, and Air France, which was serving the Iranian capital via its Joon brand, will end service on Sept. 18, according to Bloomberg. British Airways, meanwhile, will end service between London and Tehran on Sept. 22. Both airline groups said poor financial performance on the routes, not the recent round of U.S. sanctions related to U.S. President Donald Trump pulling out of the 2015 deal, drove the decision. The Lufthansa Group continues to serve Tehran via Frankfurt and Vienna.
