Turkish Airlines will begin service to Newark Liberty International Airport, its 10th U.S. destination, later this month, the carrier announced. Service begins on May 21 with four roundtrip flights per week, and frequency will increase to daily on June 1. Turkey currently is under a full lockdown—one that exempts foreign tourists—due to Covid-19, and the country is expected to begin a gradual reopening on May 17.
