U.S. and European carriers have canceled flights to Tel Aviv amid escalating hostilities between the Israeli military and Hamas in Gaza.
American Airlines, British Airways, Delta Air Lines, Lufthansa, United Airlines and Virgin Atlantic each have suspended service to the Israeli city on Thursday, and carriers have been introducing waiver policies for itineraries to the region. Israel's Ben Gurion Airport also closed to inbound flights on Thursday, with traffic rerouted to Ramon International Airport in Southern Israel.
Israel's El Al Group is continuing to operate flights out of Israel, though it said in a notice on its website that it is adjusting the departure times on several routes.
