Singapore Airlines on Aug. 25 will launch new service between Taipei and Los Angeles, the carrier announced. The roundtrip service will operate three times per week on Airbus A350-900 aircraft with 42 Business Class seats, 24 Premium Economy seats and 187 Economy seats.
Singapore Airlines regional VP for the Americas Joey Seow in a statement said the service demonstrates the carrier's "commitment to rebuild and regrow our U.S. route network." When the Taipei service begins, Singapore Airlines' flight frequencies to the United States will be just under half of pre-Covid-19 levels. Service to Los Angeles from Tokyo and Singapore restarted in June.
