Philippine Airlines and Qatar Airways will expand their codeshare, Philippine Airlines announced Monday.
Beginning June 1, Philippine Airlines will place its code on Qatar Airways flights between Doha and each Manila, Cebu, Clark and Davao, as well as on connecting flights to "over 20 major European cities, including Paris, Rome and Frankfurt via Hamad International Airport."
Qatar Airways also on June 1 will place its code on Philippine Airlines' domestic flights for passengers arriving in Manila and Cebu to connect to destinations including Caticlan (Boracay) and Puerto Princesa, according to Philippine Airlines.
Meanwhile, Qatar Airways' Privilege Club loyalty program has partnered with Philippine Airlines' Mabuhay Miles program to extend benefits to members of each program. Privilege Club members now can collect and spend Avios currency on Philippine Airlines routes across Australasia, Southeast Asia, the U.S. and "to a wider range of cities within the Philippines, including Cebu, Clark and Davao City."
Further, Mabuhay Miles members also can collect and spend miles when flying across Qatar Airways' global network, including destinations across Africa and Europe, according to Philippine Airlines.
