Etihad Airways will suspend all passenger flights to and from Abu Dhabi after Wednesday, the carrier announced. For now, the suspension is set to last for 14 days and is "subject to further directives by the relevant authorities," according to Etihad. The carrier will continue flights for cargo and emergency evacuations.
[Update, March 23]: Etihad on Monday also stopped all transit service through Abu Dhabi, effective immediately, stranding travelers with flights using the airport as a connection point.
