Delta Air Lines has expanded its international remote baggage screening for connecting passengers on flights departing Seoul to each Minneapolis and Detroit, the carrier announced Wednesday.
Those customers arriving from Seoul at either airport and with onward Delta flights can head directly to their connecting gate after clearing U.S. Customers and Border Protection and security without the need to reclaim and recheck bags, unless referred by CBP for further inspection.
The program debuted in 2025 for customers traveling from Seoul Incheon to Atlanta, and Delta claims it saves customer up to 25 minutes on average. The carrier later this year plans to expand the service further to flights operated by Delta or Korean Air from Seoul Incheon to Seattle Tacoma International Airport, and on flights operated by Korean Air from Seoul Incheon to Los Angeles International Airport.
