China and the United Kingdom increased the passenger
flights each country's carriers can fly to the other country each week from 40
to 100. The agreement also lifts a restriction that limited U.K. airlines to
six destinations in China and vice versa. Visits from China to the United
Kingdom increased 46 percent in 2015, and the amount Chinese travelers spent in
the United Kingdom increased 18 percent to £586 million, according to the U.K. Department
for Transport.
