Travel management company BCD Travel has acquired its Milan, Italy-based partner, Ventura Spa. The newly named BCD Travel Italy will offer corporate travel, meetings and events, and travel consolidation services.
Founded in 1977, Ventura Spa became a BCD partner in 2006. It has annual sales of about $400 million and a workforce of 380, according to BCD Travel. The company will maintain its offices in Milan, Florence, Turin, Treviso and Guardiagrele. Davide Rose will continue as BCD Travel Italy managing director, reporting to BCD's president of EMEA, Stewart Harvey.
The acquisition comes less than a year after BCD bought Milwaukee-based Adelman in August and invested a majority stake in Hitachi Travel Bureau in July.
