Avianca and Gol parent Grupo Abra has agreed to a new codeshare partnership with Aerolíneas Argentinas, which will cover nine cities in Colombia and 12 in Argentina, pending regulatory approval, Grupo Abra announced Tuesday.
The agreement extends an existing codeshare deal between Gol and Aerolíneas Argentinas to Avianca.
Avianca will offer connections between Buenos Aires and Argentine cities Bahía Blanca, Bariloche, Comodoro Rivadavia, El Calafate, Mar del Plata, Mendoza, Neuquén, Rosario, Ushuaia, Iguazú, Salta and Tucumán.
Aerolíneas Argentinas will offer connections between Bogotá and the following Colombian cities: San Andrés, Barranquilla, Bucaramanga, Cali, Cartagena, Cúcuta, Medellín, Pereira and Santa Marta.
In addition, an existing interline agreement is being expanded to include 18 destinations in Argentina and Brazil operated by Aerolíneas Argentinas and 12 destinations in Central and South America operated by Avianca.
