American Airlines and United Airlines have extended change fee waivers on tickets purchased before March 1 to cover travel through May 31. Travelers with tickets of any fare type in that window can change without penalty, including origin and destination cities, and need only to pay the fare difference. The carriers already had issued waivers on tickets bought after March 1 for travel through Jan. 30, 2021.
