American Express agreed to acquire electronic payment and invoice company Harbor Payments and plans to launch a suite of "source-to-settle electronic solutions"
for corporations looking to cut costs, reduce paper processing and improve compliance. As a result, American Express "will significantly broaden its expense management services" for commercial card clients. The new services will be available next year in the United States ahead of a global rollout.
