Groupize's hotel booking platform for travel management companies to source, book and manage meetings of fewer than 25 hotel rooms or fewer than 50 participants has launched on Travelport. Groupize CEO Charles de Gaspe Beaubien said, "Up to 80 percent of small groups and meetings are bypassing managed travel programs, regardless of policies or procedures. He demonstrated the platform at Travelport’s annual meeting in April, according to a Groupize May 2 blog post, which also trumpeted the platform’s handiness in bringing small meetings bookings into the travel program and thus increasing visibility.
