Workspace platform for travel agents now displays Routehappy's feed of
detailed airline merchandizing content about aircraft, class of service,
airport, route, amenities and branded fares, plus graphics. The retail-oriented
content is meant to aid agents amid airlines' increasingly varied fare and
amenity offerings. It also helps airlines upsell their differentiated products
through the global distribution system.
"Traveler expectations have evolved to where they are
looking for complete information about their travel experience," said Sabre
Travel Network senior vice president of marketing Wade Jones.
Sabre and Routehappy launched a pilot
of the integration a year ago. This is Routehappy's first integration with a
GDS, though it did start providing rich content to Egencia's TripNavigator
booking and itinerary management tool in November.
