Expedia CEO and EVP of operations Mark Okerstrom will succeed Dara
Khosrowshahi as president and CEO. Khosrowshahi has indicated that he'll take
the offer
to become Uber's CEO. Expedia's board approved Okerstrom's appointment on
Wednesday. Okerstrom will join the board, and Khosrowshahi will remain on the
board. Expedia chairman Barry Diller said Okerstrom was
Khosrowshahi's principal partner in operating the company. He has worked for
the company since 2006 and been CFO and EVP of operations since September 2011.
He also took over Expedia's eCommerce Platform Group in 2014.
