Travel Leaders Group named
Delta Air Lines vet Gail Grimmett president of a new Elite Travel Division,
which includes high-touch agency brands Protravel International and Tzell
Travel Group.
Effective May 16, Grimmett
will report to Travel Leaders CEO Ninan Chacko. Meanwhile, Barry Liben will
trade in his role as Tzell CEO to become chairman of Protravel and Tzell.
Protravel and Tzell will
maintain their brands and "distinct travel agency businesses" in the areas of
luxury leisure, corporate and entertainment travel, according to Travel
Leaders.
In her 19 years at Delta,
Grimmett has held positions in pricing, revenue management, investor relations
and financial planning. She most recently was the airline's senior vice
president of New York.
