American Express Global Business Travel and Gemstone Logistics partnered to provide a logistics and travel offering for energy clients. Set to launch this fall, the offering will blend Gemstone's CIRYS accommodation and logistics management software with Amex GBT's travel management services. Together, they will offer oil, gas, mining and natural gas clients "a single end-to-end booking process for charter and commercial air travel, ground transportation and site accommodation," as well as a "streamlined travel request, booking and approval process for operations and travel managers," among other benefits. Carlson Wagonlit Travel and logistics specialist IBS Software have similarly partnered on a combined business travel and logistics offering for energy clients.
