BTN estimates that energy giant ExxonMobil spent $136 million in U.S.-booked air travel in 2025, a year when cost savings was a key focus for the company.
2025 was a record year for annual upstream production at ExxonMobil, reaching a four-decade high of 4.7 million barrels per day, with higher oil production in Guyana and Permian Basin. Earnings for the year declined by nearly $5 billion year over year to $28.8 billion, as the industry faced pressure from an oversupplied crude market.
ExxonMobil's headcount declined in 2025 as well to 58,000, down from 61,000 in 2024.
