2024 U.S.-Booked Air Volume: $60 million
Consolidated U.S. TMC: Amex GBT
BTN estimates that mass media and entertainment conglomerate Warner
Bros. Discovery spent $60 million in U.S.-booked air in 2024. The company
reported 78,800 metric tons of
carbon emission equivalent related in
business travel in 2024, up from about 31,500
reported in 2023.
American Express Global Business Travel serves as the company's consolidated
U.S. travel management company, and the TMC named Warner Bros. Discovery as a
"significant" new business win in its 2023 earnings report.
Warner Bros. Discovery reported a 5 percent
year-over-year decline in total revenue in 2024 to
$39.3 billion.
The company reported 35,000 employees
as of the end of 2024, about half of whom were located
outside of the U.S.
Warner Bros. Discovery was formed by the merger of WarnerMedia and
Discovery, which was completed in 2022. This year, the company announced plans
to split into two publicly traded companies: Streaming & Studios, which
will consist of Warner Bros. television and motion pictures groups as well as
DC Studios and HBO, and Global Networks, which will include global
entertainment, sports and news
television brands. That separation is expected to be completed in the middle of
2026.
