Verizon returns to the Corporate Travel 100 after a year’s absence with an estimated U.S. point-of-sale air travel spend of $35 million in 2024.
The telecommunications company increased revenue by 0.6 percent year over year to $135 billion in 2024 and has given guidance of a further increase of 2 percent to 2.8 percent for 2025.Revenue in 2024 from Verizon’s TravelPass international roaming service grew $318 million “due to increased customer international travel.”
Verizon currently has 100,000 employees but in September 2024 announced a deal to acquire Frontier Communications in a deal worth $20 billion. According to Forbes, Frontier has 13,000 employees. The Federal Communications Commission approved the acquisition in June 2025 after Verizon agreed to end its diversity, equity and inclusion program, and completion is expected early in 2026.
In 2024, Verizon had business travel emissions of 75,000 metric tons of CO2 equivalent, up from 49,000 in 2023, but still well down on its 2019 figure of 175,000.
