According to BTN's estimate, Novartis spent roughly $35 million in U.S.-booked air travel in 2024, or $5.4 million more than in 2023.
The pharmaceutical firm acquired several businesses in 2024 and 2025, like Anthos Therapeutics, Kate Therapeutics, Regulus Therapeutics, Mariana Oncology and MorphoSys AG.
Novartis began in 2023 to eliminate up to 680 jobs in product development across Switzerland and the United States. As part of its mass restructure, in July 2024 it announced the closing of its technical research center in San Diego, Calif.
