BTN estimates SAP spent $45 million on
U.S.-booked air travel in 2024.
SAP, which owns travel and expense platform
Concur, has committed to achieving net-zero emissions across its value chain by
2030, investing further in carbon removal projects and applying a €100 internal
carbon tax on business flights to discourage air travel and support offsets.
In 2024, business travel-related GHG
emissions rose 31 percent year over year to 108,000 metric tons of CO2e.
SAP also began a phased global rollout of its
new Concur Travel platform last year and began an internal restructuring effort
focused on AI.
SAP's total revenue increased 10 percent
year over year to reach €34.2 billion in 2024.
The company reported 109,639 full-time equivalent employees at the end
of 2024—about 2,000 more than in 2023.
