GSK reported $38.5 million in U.S.-booked
airfares for 2024. The company's travel program plans to focus on traveler
experience and pipeline development, with no expectation of returning to
pre-pandemic travel volumes.
The pharmaceutical
giant has committed to reducing overall greenhouse gas emissions by 80 percent
by 2030, using 2020 as the baseline year. The organization’s total Scope 3
emissions were 10 percent lower than the baseline in 2023 (the latest available
data). However, emissions from business travel more than doubled year-over-year
to 203,000 metric tons of CO2 equivalent.
GSK's
sales rose 7 percent in 2024, but operating profits dropped 40 percent to £4
billion. At year-end, the company employed 68,629 people worldwide, mostly in
Europe (32,208) and the U.S. (12,024).
In
early 2025 the company abandoned diversity targets for both its
workforce and supplier strategies following changes in U.S. policy.
