Net revenue at the beverage and snack food conglomerate in 2020 was $70.4 billion, about a 5 percent increase over 2019’s $67.2 billion. But the big news was its announcement in August 2021 that it had agreed to sell Tropicana, Naked and other North American juice brands to a French private equity firm for pretax cash proceeds of $3.3 billion. As of Dec. 26, 2020, PepsiCo employed approximately 291,000 people worldwide, including 120,000 people in the United States. The global figure represents a 9 percent increase from the 267,000 employed as of Dec. 28, 2019.
