Twinsburg, Ohio-based online meetings management firm PlanSoft has rolled out a new service designed to assist in the meeting site and supplier selection process. With the service, dubbed Meetings For You, PlanSoft will manage the requests for proposals process and search for meeting space, including through distressed hotel inventory. The company issues reports to planners detailing the status of each RFP sent and the resultant hotel offer, if any.
"It's the first part of the planning process where you can stub your toe," said Ed Tromczynski, president and COO of PlanSoft.
The company has added four staffers to fulfill sourcing requests under the terms of the program. However, Tromczynski said as many as 12 staffers will work on Meetings For You services, when needed.
PlanSoft will charge a 10 percent commission on all booked meetings that use MFY services. The company does not charge a commission on meetings that do not use that service
