American Express Business Travel and Maritz Travel announced a "preliminary agreement" for a strategic meetings management alliance
called MaXvantage. The partnership would offer "expense management capabilities" and "strategic sourcing expertise" along with an "enhanced level of transparency, control and insight." The parties expect to close the deal "shortly." The program will be available first to clients in North America.
