United Continental Holdings reported a fourth-quarter net profit of $109 million, excluding one-time items.
Passenger revenue increased
5.6 percent year over year to $7.8 billion as the average passenger fare jumped
more than 11 percent to $269.82. For full-year 2011, the company posted net
income of $840 million, or $1.3 billion excluding one-time items. Its full-year
passenger revenue was $32.5 billion, tops among U.S. carriers.
