United Airlines parent UAL Corp. posted a fourth-quarter net loss of $240 million versus a $1.3 billion net loss a year earlier.
Passenger revenue declined 8 percent. For full-year 2009, the company reported 19 percent lower revenue and a net loss of $651 million, significantly smaller than the $5.4 billion loss from 2008.
