, with an ontime ratio of 72.1 percent, according to government statistics. It was followed by American Airlines and United Airlines. Alaska Airlines ranked last among the major carriers. For full-year 2008, Southwest Airlines led the pack at 80.5 percent, followed by US Airways (80.1 percent) and Frontier Airlines (79.0 percent). American ranked last for the full year at 69.8 percent, just ahead of United (71.6 percent) and Continental Airlines (72.0 percent).
