The U.S. Department of Transportation will allow SkyTeam airline partners to implement an expanded, immunized, transatlantic alliance unless objectors during the next two weeks convince federal regulators to reverse their decision
. DOT's proposed approval would free Air France, Alitalia, Czech, Delta, KLM and Northwest to coordinate on capacity planning, pricing, scheduling, distribution, marketing, procurement and information systems. But they must abide by certain conditions and implement their planned joint venture within 18 months.
