The U.S. Department of Transportation tentatively selected United Airlines

to operate new, daily flights between China and the United States. Competing against bids by American, Continental and Northwest, the United application detailed plans for flights between Washington Dulles and Beijing, effective March 25. DOT for 14 days will accept objections to its tentative selection before finalizing a decision.
