The U.S. Department of Transportation said New York's JFK Airport should handle no more than 81 hourly flight operations at peak times
--as much as 20 percent fewer flights than are now scheduled during some peak hours of operation. The agency made the comments ahead of meetings beginning Oct. 22 with airlines about schedule reductions at JFK.
