The Institute of Travel & Meetings said it successfully lobbied for changes to how British Airways and Virgin refund fuel surcharges

"for all corporate claims in the U.K. with immediate effect," according to the group. ITM said the lawyers appointed to oversee the "BA/Virgin Fuel Surcharge fund"--created following legal action last year against the two carriers' collusion on applying such charges--enacted such enhancements as "the automatic provision of line-by-line reconciliation data, previously not provided as a matter of course with payments, and an improved communication process."
