The Global Business Travel Association raised its projection for global 2014 travel spending to $288.8 billion,
which would represent 7.2 percent year-over-year growth. That figure is slightly higher than GBTA's previous projection of 6.9 percent year-over-year business travel spending growth next year. GBTA also estimated a 1.6 percent increase in total 2014 business trips.
