The German government ordered increased security patrols at airports and railway stations
on Wednesday after interior minister Thomas de Maiziére warned the country may be subject to a terrorist attack before the end of November. Maiziére said there is "cause for concern, but there is no cause for hysteria." The U.S. State Department last month warned of possible terror attacks in Germany and France, which the German government played down at the time, but Maiziére said he has subsequently received "concrete indications" of a planned attack.
