Ten of the 11 major U.S. airlines for January posted year-over-year domestic traffic and capacity declines
. American, Continental, Frontier and United airlines each reported double-digit percentage decreases for both metrics. AirTran Airways was the only carrier to increase traffic, at a 4.5 percent rate.
