SkyTeam partners Delta Airlines and KLM Royal Dutch Airlines said they plan to begin cooperating on codeshare flights later this year

, after receiving approval from the U.S. Department of Transportation. Initially, Delta will place its code on 10 KLM routes from Amsterdam to European destinations, with plans to add at least 20 additional KLM services. KLM will add its code to several Delta flights from Atlanta and New York JFK.
