Sabre Travel Network is asking global distribution system users to help offset reductions in fees paid to Sabre by several major U.S. airlines
. Dubbed the Efficient Access Solution, the voluntary program provides travel agencies and corporate accounts with access to full content from participating carriers--currently AirTran, Delta, Continental, Northwest, United and US Airways--and exemptions from any additional GDS fees imposed by airlines. GDS subscribers have until Aug. 1 to to accept "certain financial terms," which likely would take the form of reduced incentives.
