Rearden Commerce is looking to add roughly 250 employees to its current 600,
according to a spokeswoman. It remains to be determined how
many total personnel will handle account management and sales in travel
services, new senior vice president of travel services Andrew McGraw said.
According to the former American Express executive, "a lot of the
expansion will be in the offers area," a new service based on Rearden's September
HomeRun.com acquisition that presents what Rearden calls "highly relevant
offers to consumers based on their identities, locations and context." The
company is growing its Scottsdale, Ariz., location, where it expects to house
half of the new personnel, to support the initiative.
