Qantas joined other international airlines in again raising passenger fuel surcharges

to offset rising jet fuel prices. Effective 9 August, the Qantas increase ranges from A$5 (US$4) to A$15 (US$13) for each flight, depending on distance. Flights between Australia and Europe now include a A$185 (US$157) surcharge and flights to and from the Americas carry a A$145 (US$123) surcharge.
