, the second consecutive month it led its peers in on-time performance, according to the latest U.S. Department of Transportation statistics. American Airlines and Southwest Airlines also performed comparably well while Continental Airlines again finished at the bottom of the pack. Industrywide on-time performance dropped to 72.8 percent from April and May levels that were above 78 percent.
