Northwest Airlines reported a fourth-quarter pre-tax loss of $7 million

The company's overall net loss in the fourth quarter was $267 million, down from $1.3 billion in 2005. The full-year 2006 pre-tax result of $301 million marked Northwest's "first profitable year since 2000." Quarterly passenger revenues increased 8 percent to $2.2 billion.
