Northwest Airlines now allows customers to pay half price for a roundtrip ticket and redeem frequent flyer miles to pay for the other half
. Designed for NWA's frequent flyers who "don't have enough miles for a roundtrip award ticket, or if an award seat is available on only one way of the trip," such reservations must be booked through direct Internet or telephone channels.
